SJVN Ltd extends date for bid submission for Civil and Hydro-Mechanical works of 382MW Hydro-electric Project

NIT for “EPC contract package covering Design & Engineering services, Civil and Hydro-Mechanical works of Sunni Dam Hydroelectric Project (382 MW) located in Distt. Shimla and Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, India was issued by SJVN Ltd (A Joint Venture of Govt. of India and Govt. of HP) on 20.04.2021 with deadline for submission of bids being 21.06.2021. The deadline for submission of bids has now being extended to 30.07.2021(1300 Hrs.).

SJVN Limited, a Mini Ratna, Category-I and Schedule –‘A’ CPSE is a joint venture of the Government of India (GOI) and the Government of Himachal Pradesh (GOHP). Beginning with a single Project i.e., India’s largest 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station in Himachal Pradesh, the Company has commissioned five projects totaling 2015.2 MW of installed capacity including wind and solar power. The present EPC tender for Sunni Dam HEP is live and offers good opportunity for those companies who want to diversify in hydro sector but do not have any experience of hydro/river valley projects. As per bid conditions, to get qualified, they can participate in association with sub-contractors and joint venture partners.
